Installation of a New Chimney Flashing on a Gallatin House, TN

This chimney didn't have any flashing before, which caused water to get in and cause water damage inside. The homeowners tried to fix it and installed a piece of waterproofing material around it to temporarily stop water. On the before picture, you can see a new cricket our Klaus Roofing Systems crew installed to redirect water from accumulating on the foot of the chimney, and rather have it flow down around it. They also added a new flashing and properly sealed all gaps.

On the before picture you can see how the chimney doesn't have any flashing, and leaves and twigs accumulate on the foot of this chimney. We also found cracks around it which were allowing water to get inside of the house. This chimney needed to get a new flashing and have a cricket built to redirect water and debris from accumulating on the chimney foot.

On the second photograph, you can see how we were installing a new cricket. We had to replace some of the decking because it was too rotten due to water damage. We installed waterproofing barriers around the chimney and then new flashing and replaced some of the shingles.

Roof Replacement in Gallatin, TN

This client had a total roof replacement. It was a single layer tear off. While doing the tear off our team noticed there was mold and wood rot beginning to grow due to moisture. This issue was addressed with Sealoron XT Ice and ArmourGard Ice & Water is put on the entire roof underneath the shingles. ArmourGard prevents water infiltration due to ice dams and wind-driven rain. Velora ONE Synthetic Underlayment and completed with the use of MFM Roof Deck Tape and to insure that the roof would sealed from that point going forward. Our technicians then installed the shingles along with the appropriate Drip Edge, Rake Edge, Flashing & Vent Strip. All seams and flashing were then completely sealed by the expert technicians and they then completed the job.
