Homeowners of a house in La Vergne, TN gave us a call because their roof was showing extensive signs of deterioration in many places. They decided to replace the roof before it would develop too many leaks and cause further damage to the interior of the house. Klaus Roofing of Nashville worked with the homeowners and replaced the roof with a new asphalt shingle roof, matching the black charcoal color of the existing roof above the garage with new shingles that we laid down.

Our Klaus Roofing team at first removed the old roof, checked the decking for water damage and replaced the decking that needed it. All joints on the entire roof deck were taped with self-adhering flashing tape. Then our roofing crew installed Sealoron XT Ice and Water Barrier 6 inches from all drip edges and in the valleys, and Synthetic Underlayment to the rest of the roof. This durable, tear-resistant material is engineered to repel water and adhere to the roofing surface. We installed new IKO Dynasty premium quality performance shingles and asphalt IKO Starter Shingles with fast-lock sealant along the entire outside perimeter of roof. These shingles are heavy-duty and designed to withstand 130 mph winds. New ridge vents now maintain consisten attic ventilation. We also replaced old vent pipe boots with new PermaBoots, and replaced all old box vents with new UV-Protected Lamanco 750 aluminium box vents for durability. During the roof installation, we didn’t forget about the chimney, which now has new flashing. Lastly, we took a giant magnetic roller and swept all nails from the yard. Any nails that homeowners find after our clean-up, they can report them and we will pay them $1 per nail!

And what’s best about this new roof? It has a 50 year warranty!
