Birds Eye View
From the birds eye view this roof looks pretty good. There's is a bit of black markings which is problem algae growth but overall it does not look too bad until you take a closer look.
If you take a closer look at the chimney you can see that there is definitely some growth around it. This is occurring because there has not been a proper system installed to redirect the water when it rains. We put a flashing around the chimney to ensure this does not happen.
Lack of transition
This transition should have been obvious to the previous roof installers or home builders that this is a breeding ground for algae growth and mold. This looks a ton of space for water to get underneath the shingles.
As you can see in the photo, some of the shingles are damaged and beginning to pull away from the home. This is a stunning home and with the proper roofing system installed the home can be even more stunning and more secure from water damage.
